I just finished Leverage by Joshua C Cohen and it came to a really exciting finish. The main character Danny is totally overwhelmed by his High School team and he wants to take a break from them so he does and many things go wrong within a day. Ronnie commits suicide and Lamar was either killed or disappeared. This teaches the lesson that you should not be judged by who you are or what your appearance is you should be excepted for who you are.

In the book Kurt the running back is bullied because of his size. Kurt does what should be done and ignores the hurtful comments. But the name calling came to a point where Kurt had to get physical. Danny tries to defend him but he is not the largest player out there. This is the problem that drove Danny nuts and caused him to want to quit the team and this is also why people want to quit.

This has never personally happened to me, but discrimination is one of the main types of bullying trying to be stopped in the world. People get bullied because of their religion, because of their appearance etc. But the main problem is trying to ignore it or make it stop some people say tell an adult which personally I think will start more violence. What you can do is try to ignore it. This is the main lesson in this book and also why i definitely recommend this book.

  1. This is a very interesting post. I agree that we should stop bullying and especially discriminatoin. It's a horrible thing. This book seem very harsh if 2 people die in it, but I sounds very interesting. Great job.

  2. I like your blog and it was great writing. I think you should try to make a book, world connection because once again bully is a great issue to do that connection for. Your summery is great and I think you can write well.
